WILMINGTON — Essie Waddell Clay, age 96, of Wilmington, passed away Monday, April 20, 2026.
A celebration of Mrs. Clay’s life took place Saturday, April 25, 2026 at Enoch Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, 7011 Market St., Wilmington, NC 28411.
Interment followed at Enoch Chapel Church Cemetery.
Her love and memories will remain in the hearts of her sons, Charles Clay, Jr. of Wilmington, NC and Russell Clay of Wilmington, NC and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
