WILMINGTON — Dallas Bernard Gore, 88, passed from his earthly life Friday, April 17, 2026 at his home with love and family surrounding him.

He was born October 1, 1937 in Wilmington the son of Albert Gore and Winona Kelly Gore. In addition to his parents Dallas was preceded in death by his siblings, Florence Watkins, Leola Smith, Albert “Buddy” Brady Gore, Ervin Gore, Pauline Stewart, and Joyce Kelly.

Dallas is survived by his loving wife, Judy Ellen Woodcock Gore; children, Tammy Gore Fadel (David), Deborah Gore Marrott (Brandon), Craig Gore, and Kevin Gore (Janella); eleven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; sisters, Ann Bell Daniels and Annette Robinson; many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Dallas served his country honorably in the US Army, serving in the military police. After working 29 years Dallas retired from GE Aerospace in Wilmington where he made many lifelong friends. Dallas loved his church and church family at Pine Valley Methodist Church in Wilmington.

He was an avid hunter and in his younger years enjoyed putting his fishing hook in the water hoping to catch supper. Each year Dallas would plant a vegetable garden which Judy would freeze and can vegetables for the winter. What a well-matched couple they made working together. His presence in our lives will be forever missed but we find solace in knowing that he is at peace and rejoicing with his Almighty Father.

The graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 16, 2026 at Woodcock Cemetery, 1303 Beattys Bridge Road, Atkinson NC. The family will receive friends at the cemetery following the service.
