BURGAW — Rhonda Faulk Melton, 71, passed peacefully from her earthly life Friday, April 10, 2026 at home with love and family.
She was born in Richmond, Virginia, the daughter of Acie Vernice Faulk and Marion Glyn Faulk. In addition to her parents Rhonda was preceded in death by her sister, Sharon Elaine Batten.
Rhonda is survived by her sons, Daniel Kevin Melton and Sterling Ray Melton, Jr.; grandchildren, Sterling Ray Melton III, Alexandra Lee Melton, and Noalee Ellen Melton; brother, David Faulk; sister, Anita Gerganous; many extended family and dear friends.
Rhonda was a ray of sunshine that shined brightly everywhere she went. Her beautiful smile and laughter always lit up the room. We will miss her beautiful presence! We have happy, loving memories to cherish and remember of Rhonda.
The memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 2, 2026 at United Faith Fellowship Church, 211 S. First Avenue, Atkinson, NC 28421. Pastor Don Yerby will conduct the service.
