WILMINGTON — George Glowa, affectionately known as Pops, passed away peacefully on February 20, 2026 in Wilmington, NC.
Born in Pittsburgh, PA on December 17, 1957, George’s journey through life was marked by an incredible devotion to his family. He was married to the love of his life, Lynn Glowa, for 45 years.
He cherished time with his sons and daughter-in-laws, Matt (Erika), Jim (Stephanie), and Tommy (Molly). His greatest joy was his 6 beautiful grandchildren, Taylor, Talan, Tanner, Chase, Grace, and Paislee. He also valued his close relationship with his sister, Linda Glowa, and life-long best friend, Mike Reynolds.
A private celebration of life was held with his family.
The family is grateful for any support and welcomes donations via Venmo (@glowaj) to assist Lynn with medical expenses and final arrangements.
