WILMINGTON — Sherry Southerland Carter, 77, of Wilmington, passed away on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at NorthChase Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Wilmington.
She was born on October 26, 1948, in Wilmington, to the late Joseph Beauregard Southerland and the late Jessie Cozzette Southerland.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 16, 2026 at Blake’s Chapel Church in Hampstead with Pastor Buddy Dowd officiating, Burial will follow in Blake’s Chapel Cemetery.
