HAMPSTEAD — David Leon Askins, 83, of Hampstead passed from his earthly life Wednesday, February 4, 2026 at Lower Cape Fear LifeCare.
He was born September 6, 1942 in Goldsboro, the son of Jamie Hoyt Askins and Hallie Holloway Askins. In addition to his parents David was preceded in death by his brothers, James “Jim” Askins, MD and Richard Askins.
David is survived by his wife, Diana Howard Askins; and other extended family and dear friends.
