Rebecca “Becky” Casteen, 69

WILMINGTON — Rebecca “Becky” Casteen, a cherished lifelong resident of Wilmington, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on January 4, 2026, at the age of 69. Born on September 6, 1956, in Wilmington, she spent her entire life contributing to and loving the community that held her heart.

A graduate of Hoggard High School, Becky dedicated her career to caring for others as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Her compassionate nature and gentle spirit were evident throughout her work, most recently at Carolina Arthritis Medical Clinic in Wilmington, from where she retired. Her commitment to the well-being of others left a lasting impact on many.

Becky was a faithful Christian, having been raised in the Baptist Church, where her faith was a guiding force in her life. Her devotion to her beliefs and her community served as an inspiration to those who knew her.

Preceded in death by her parents, Walter Casteen and Emily Faison Casteen, and her beloved granddaughter, Kaitlyn Thompson and her sister Bobbi Turnage. Rebecca’s legacy continues through her surviving daughter, Sarah Elizabeth “Beth” Casteen; her sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Jack Willie; and her two great-grandchildren, Serenity and Brinleigh Thompson.

Becky’s life will be celebrated in a memorial service, with details to be announced. Her family, friends, and all who knew her are invited to honor her memory and cherish the moments they shared with her.

Rebecca Casteen touched the lives of many, and her spirit will remain in our hearts forever. May she rest in peace.
