SOUTHPORT — Cynthia “Cindy” Long, 72, a devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished member of her community, passed away peacefully on December 23, 2025.
Born on December 15, in Texas, Cynthia lived a life full of warmth, kindness, and dedication to her family. She shared a deep and enduring bond with her husband, Ed Long. Cynthia was the proud mother of her daughter, Crystal Long, whom she adored and supported unconditionally.
Her role as a mother brought her immense happiness, and she took great pride in watching Crystal grow and thrive.
Known for her gentle spirit, generous heart, and unwavering support for those around her, Cynthia touched the lives of family, friends, and all who knew her. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered for the light she brought into the world.
She is survived by her husband, Ed Long; daughter, Crystal Long; sister, NaNa; and other extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the National Kidney Foundation or to an animal shelter of your choice.
