Justin Alexander Hall (Andrews Mortuary and Crematory)

SURF CITY — It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Justin Alexander Hall of Surf City, NC on November 3, 2025. Born on December 13, 1989 in Charlotte, NC, Justin was a beloved son, brother, and grandson who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his parents, Robert and Cindy Hall, sister, Alexis Dunn (husband Michael), grandmothers Carolyn Hall and Mary Illar, and aunt Margaret Mayo. He was predeceased by grandfathers, Alexander Hall and Gene Illar and uncle, Wayne Illar.

A proud graduate of Providence High School in Matthews, NC, Justin continued his studies at UNC Wilmington before embarking on a career in commercial construction, where he served as a project manager across North and South Carolina, earning numerous awards along the way.

Justin found his truest joy on the water. Whether casting a line from the pier, his boat, or by the ocean, he was at peace in nature – always accompanied by his faithful dog Phoebe. His love for fishing was more than a pastime: it was a way of life, a connection to the world around him. Known by his infectious smile, his kind heart, and legendary fishing tales – some perhaps a bit embellished – Justin’s warmth and humor left a lasting mark on everyone he met.

A passionate football fan, Justin’s loyalty to the Carolina Panthers never wavered, a love sparked by his own years of playing the game in high school.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.

“Where seagulls cry above the sea
And surf rolls in so endlessly
Among towering trees that soar above
In all these things that I once loved
Look for me and I’ll be there
You’ll feel my presence everywhere”
