WILMINGTON — Lillian Lee (Vaught) Sneeden, 95, of Wilmington passed away on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center surrounded by the love of her family.
She was born on August 2, 1930, in Pittsburg, PA to the late Joseph Benjamin Vaught Jr and the late Hilda Rivenbark Vaught.
Lillian was a faithful member of Silver Lake Baptist Church for many years. She graduated from UNCW with a Bachelor’s in Fine Arts. Lillian turned her passion for art into a career. She was honored in The Johnson Collection, as a “southern woman artist”.
Lillian is survived by her son, Kenneth Sneeden Jr. and wife, Sara; her daughter, Cindy McNally and husband, Stephen; daughter in law, Eilleen Sneeden; sister, Wanda Vaught Smith; grandchildren, Ginny Bolton, Woody Bolton, Michael Sneeden and wife Rachel, Emily Brooks, Victoria McNally Smith and husband, Ricky, Jeremy McNally; great grandchildren, Zoe Collett, Damian Tuttle, Samuel Sneeden, Laci Smith and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Lillian was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Kenneth Sneeden Sr.; son, Timothy Wayne Sneeden; daughter, Wanda Bolton; sister, Gloria Vaught Musselwhite.
Interment will take place privately at a later date at Oleander Memorial Gardens.
In Lieu of flowers, the family would like donations made to the Silver Lake Baptist Missions fund.
