WILMINGTON — It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Earl G. Grover, III, who departed this life on August 23, 2025, in Wilmington, NC, at the age of 71. Earl was born on August 16, 1954, in San Antonio, TX, and throughout his life, he touched the lives of many with his dedication, kindness, and unwavering spirit.
Earl proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Marine Corps, embodying the values of honor, courage, and commitment. Following his military service, he pursued a career as a Printer Technician for Toshiba, where he honed his skills and expertise. Later, he fulfilled his entrepreneurial dream by founding Coastal Carolina Printing Service, through which he served the community with diligence and care.
A man of deep faith, Earl was a devoted member of the King James Bible Church in Goldsboro, NC. His love for the church and its community was evident in his active participation and commitment to various church activities. Earl also dedicated much of his time to fundraising efforts, consistently working to support causes close to his heart.
In addition to his professional endeavors and community involvement, Earl cherished spending time with his family. He found great joy in the company of his children, grandchildren, and spiritual son, creating lasting memories filled with love and laughter.
Earl was a passionate supporter of Homes Fires Burning, an organization that provides financial and personalized assistance to veterans, reflecting his continued commitment to those who served alongside him.
Earl is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Joan Elizabeth Dalton and Earl Grover, II; his devoted wife, Cherylon Diane Grover; and his sister, Gloria Roberts. He leaves behind a loving family, including his sisters, Barbara Galvin and Carol Wood; his children, Earl G. Grover, IV, Andrea Davis-Ellison and her husband Xavier, and Jennifer Grover; and his spiritual son, Rocky Jeter Webb. Earl was also a proud grandfather to four grandchildren: Joshua Gifford, Jasmine Davis-Ellison, Brooklyn Adger, and Brielle Adger.
Visitation will be held Thursday, August 28, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by the Funeral Service from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, at Wilmington Funeral & Cremation – Wilmington Chapel, 1535 S. 41st Street, Wilmington, NC.
Earl G. Grover, III, will be remembered for his steadfast devotion to family, faith, and community. His legacy of love and service will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him.
