LELAND — Mario Henry Mariaca was born on September 15, 1929, in Detroit, Michigan, and passed away peacefully on August 12, 2025, in Shallotte, North Carolina, at the remarkable age of 95.
Mario lived a life full of dedication, service, and love. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army and served his country with honor during the Korean Conflict. This commitment to service defined much of his character, demonstrating courage, loyalty, and resilience throughout his life.
Professionally, Mario had a successful career in sales, where his personable nature and strong work ethic left a lasting impact on colleagues and clients alike. After many years of dedicated service, he transitioned smoothly into retirement, leaving behind not just a profession but a legacy of integrity and perseverance.
Preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sharon Ann Mariaca, Mario was a devoted husband and cherished the family they built together. His legacy continues through his surviving children, Dean Mariaca, Gregg Mariaca, and Mark Mariaca, as well as his treasured grandchildren, who will carry forward the values and wisdom he imparted to them.
At the request of the family, no services will be held at this time. In lieu of gatherings, the family encourages reflections on Mario’s life as a source of inspiration and strength.
