WILMINGTON — Delores H. Carpenter, age 85, of Wilmington, NC passed away Tuesday, July 29, 2025.
Public viewing 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM Sunday, August 10, 2025 at Davis Funeral Home-Wilmington, 901 South 5th Avenue, Wilmington, NC 28401.
A celebration of Mrs. Carpenter’s life will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Monday, August 11, 2025 at First Baptist Missionary Church, 520 N 5th Avenue, Wilmington, NC 28401.
Interment will follow at Pine Forest Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her son, John Lee Carpenter.
Her love and memories will remain in the heart of her husband, Joseph D. Carpenter, Jr. of the home; children, Joseph K. Carpenter III of Wilmington, NC, Careem Carpenter of Miami, FL, Melba Carpenter of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Tylar Carpenter (Mechelle) of Wilmington, NC, Renee Greene (Roger) of Little River, SC and James Carpenter (Sharon) of Wilmington, NC; sister, Angelina Kemp of Brooklyn, NY, 11 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
