BURGAW — Timmie Lee Gurganious, 56, passed from his earthly life Monday, July 14, 2025.
He was born August 24, 1968 in Wilmington, the son of Sylvia Faye Gause Gurganious and Bobby Allen Gurganious. In addition to his father, Timmie was preceded in death by his twin sister, Tina Faye Gurganious and brother, Paul Gurganious.
Timmie is survived by his mother, Sylvia; daughter, Heather Ellington (Cody); granddaughters, Chloe Ellington and Zoey Ellington; brother, John Allen Gurganious (Tammie); sister, Lisa Simmons (Darius); many extended family and friends.
Timmie was a jack of all trades as he could and did fix most anything. He was a kind and gentle soul who was always willing to lend a helping hand whenever and wherever needed. He did not wait to be asked if he saw the need he jumped in to help. Timmie had a black cat named Solomon who was a constant companion to Timmie. Timmie was a helpful and wonderful son to Sylvia. He was loved and will be greatly missed.
The funeral service will be 3:00 p.m. Friday, July 18, 2025 at Riley’s Creek Baptist Church with visitation at 2:00 p.m., one hour prior to funeral service. The Rev. Art Sauer will conduct the service. Burial will follow in Riley’s Creek Memorial Cemetery.
