WILMINGTON — Herman Leon Rhodes, 82, left for his heavenly home on July 2, 2025. He was born August 14, 1942 to the late Eulas Herman Rhodes and Margaret Ivie Rhodes.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Patricia Kay Morton, brothers Kenneth Dale Rhodes, James Douglas Rhodes, and sister Gloria Faye Gregg.
He is survived by his son David Michael Rhodes, many loving nieces and nephews, including many other family members and friends.
He served in the USAF from 1964-1968.
He was a great man of many talents, except golf. Many a squirrel applauded when he gave up the game.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
