LELAND — Mrs. Dorothy E. Lemon, First Lady of Mt. Hermon Missionary Baptist Church, age 82, of Leland, passed away Saturday, June 14, 2025.
A public viewing took place on Friday, June 20, 2025 at Davis Funeral Home – Wilmington, 901 S 5th Avenue, Wilmington, NC 28401.
A celebration of First Lady Lemon’s life was conducted at 2:30 PM on Saturday, June 21, 2025 at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, 4925 New Centre Drive, Wilmington, NC 28403.
Interment followed at Dowe and Lemon Family Cemetery.
Her love and memories will remain in the hearts of her children, Samuel James Lemon (Vanita) and Sampson Lemon III (Sonia) both of Charlotte, Shileta Lemon of Leland and Latonia Williams of Greensboro, nine grandchildren, one great-grandchild and a host of other relatives and friends.
