WILMINGTON — Matthew Doyle, born in 1966, was raised and attended early education in Northern Virginia before moving with his family to Northern California where he graduated from high school.
He entered the Navy after high school, serving there for 5 years including a tour in the Persian Gulf during the Gulf War.
After naval service Matthew held several jobs living in New York, Maryland, and eventually returning to Northern California, where he bought a home. Almost 2 decades into the new millennium, he moved again to the east coast, near his parents and several of his siblings.
Matthew died of natural causes, passing peacefully seated in his favorite chair, on June 3, 2025.
He is deeply missed and will be forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. Preceded in death by his mother, Matthew is survived by his father, Stephen Doyle of Texas; his brother Michael of California; sisters Glenda Heidsick (Matthias) and Kathleen Edwards (Robert) of North Carolina, and Amanda Carmen (Mark) of Texas; and his closest and dearest friend C. Calligan of California.
