WILMINGTON — Arlene Norris, born July 11, 1941, in the quaint town of Wilmington, North Carolina, passed away peacefully at her home in Rocky Point on May 26, 2025, at the age of 83. A devoted mother, grandmother, and friend, Arlene touched many lives with her strong spirit and unwavering honesty.

Arlene worked for KFC where she enjoyed her job very much. Outside of work, Arlene found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved people-watching, finding beauty and stories in the faces of those around her. Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren: April Pitts, Alesse Beasley, Savannah Norris, Marlee Joy Norris, and Jasmine Norris, as well as great-grandchildren, Kayla Morgan, Blake Morgan, Skyler Pitts, and Jaiden Pitts.

Her family will fondly remember her as someone who was always straightforward and candidly honest – Arlene could “tell you like it is” without sugar-coating a single word. Her feisty nature was legendary, and she never hesitated to speak her mind, which often brought laughter and wisdom to those around her.
