WILMINGTON — William “Bill” Jackson Greene, a cherished father, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 14, 2025, in Wilmington, North Carolina, at the age of 81. Born on May 28, 1943, in McDowell County, North Carolina, Bill lived a life marked by dedication, kindness, and quiet strength.

After graduating high school, Bill proudly served his country by joining the United States Air Force. He spent four years as an aircraft mechanic, a period during which he was known for his soft-spoken demeanor, compassion, and unwavering commitment to his duties.

In retirement, Bill and his beloved wife, Glenda Faye Greene, whom he cherished for 52 wonderful years, built a farm in St. Helena.
