ROCKY POINT — Becky Lou Wells, aged 78, passed away peacefully on May 4, 2025, in Rocky Point, North Carolina. Born on October 19, 1946, in Georgetown, South Carolina, she was a devoted family member and friend who touched many lives with her kindness and warmth.
Becky had a deep love for her family, and she cherished every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her heart was vast and open, full of love for her delightful collection of bears and her beautiful gardens, where she found peace and joy. Her devotion to her family was unwavering, and her greatest happiness came from being surrounded by those she loved.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Plummer Ralston Lambert, Sr. and Mary Ann Roelle; her devoted husband, Ranford Larry Wells; and her cherished daughter, Debra W. Meshaw. Although they have passed, the love she held for them endures.
Becky is survived by her children: Larry Wells and his wife Talesha of Jacksonville; Donald Wells of Rocky Point; and Angie W. Walters and her husband Randy of Wilmington. She also leaves behind her brother, Richard Cribb of Rhode Island, along with three treasured grandchildren and eight precious great-grandchildren. Her special pets, Teddy and Maggie, were constant companions and brought her great joy.
A celebration of Becky’s life will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, May 8, 2025, at Wilmington Funeral & Cremation, located at 1535 South 41st Street, Wilmington, NC. Friends and family are invited to honor her memory and celebrate the remarkable life she lived.
