WILMINGTON — Tiffani Nicole Sunderland, born on May 22, 1987, in Maplewood, Minnesota, passed away on April 26, 2025, in Wilmington, North Carolina, at the age of 37. She was a compassionate soul whose nurturing spirit touched the lives of many.
Tiffani dedicated her life to caring for others as a Registered Nurse, a vocation through which she provided comfort and solace to those in need. She worked many years in the Oncology field as well as Hospice. Her empathy and kindness were evident not only through her professional work but also in her personal passions. She cherished the beach and had a great love for sea turtles as well as any animal in need. But what she loved most was being a mother to her Children.
Tiffani is survived by a loving family. She leaves behind her parents, Tim Peterson of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Kelly Bordsen, along with her stepfather, Jim Bordsen of Lino Lakes, Minnesota. Her fiancée, David Andersen, and her cherished children, Eli Sunderland, Zoey Sunderland, and Finnigan Andersen, all of Wilmington, will forever hold her memory dear. She is also survived by her brothers, Tyler Peterson of Blaine, Minnesota, and Adam Bordsen of Lino Lakes, Minnesota, as well as her sister, Marisa Salter of Greenville, South Carolina.
A celebration of Tiffani’s life will be held at a later date, where family and friends can gather for remembrance and to share cherished memories.
