HAMPSTEAD — Frances Mowery, 77 of Hampstead NC went to her heavenly home on March 17, 2025. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished Maw Maw and a dear friend of many.
She was born in Concord, NC on November 12, 1947 and preceded in death by her father JD Melton, her mother Ruth Melton, sister Letha Milam and baby brother Joel Melton. She is survived by her husband of 57 years Reverend Bobby Mowery, brother George Melton (June), son Bryan Mowery (Stacy), daughter Sharon Moore (Jesse) and three grandchildren Jesse Moore III, William Mowery, and Abygail Mowery, as well as many loving nieces and nephews.
Frances started her career as a seamstress in Cannon Mills, then Church Secretary at Ogden Baptist Church, and was the personal assistant to her husband Bobby Mowery for the 40 years he was a Pastor.
Her greatest joy in life was her family. She loved her husband, children and grandchildren with all her heart.
There will be a Celebration of Life service Sunday, March 30th, at Hampstead Baptist Church Fellowship Hall. The service will begin with visitation of friends and family from 2-3pm followed by a celebration service at 3pm.
