WILMINGTON — Judy Johnson Prince, a devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully at the age of 64 on March 13th, 2025. She was born on November 16th, 1960 and her life was marked by unwavering love, dedication, and compassion.
Judy was a kind-hearted woman who brought joy and warmth of motherly love to everyone she met. She found immense joy in the simple pleasures of life, particularly her daily walks along the riverwalk, where she found peace in nature and forged multiple new friendships. She was also a true animal lover, especially fond of her beloved boxers, who brought her much comfort and happiness.
For many years, Judy served her community as a certified medical assistant. Her career was a reflection of her caring nature, as she always approached her patients with the utmost care, making them feel heard and valued. Her commitment to her work and her patients left a lasting impact on everyone she interacted with.
Judy’s family was her greatest treasure. She is survived by her loving husband, William Thomas “Tommy” Prince, with whom she shared a lifelong partnership built on love, trust, and mutual respect. She leaves behind her two children, her son Jarod Wells (Megan Thomas) and her daughter Sloane Prince (Maddie Everhart), both of whom were the pride of her life. Her Mother Ann Cooper Johnson and her sister Gay Ann Johnson. Judy’s love for her family was boundless, and she was always there to offer guidance, support, and encouragement.
Judy’s spirit will live on in the hearts of her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her kindness, compassion, and unwavering love will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
A celebration of life with be held with details to come.
