BURGAW — Patsy Lee Woodcock Harris, age 88, entered into Glory on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

She was born on January 1, 1937, in Pender County, one of seven children born to Allie Carr Woodcock and Valeria Taylor Woodcock. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her great grandson, Ethyn and son-in-law, Joseph West.

Patsy was the epitome of a great Wife, Mother, Mema, Sister, and friend. She loved her husband, Nick, with all her heart and enjoyed every minute of her life with him. Most recently, many days were spent with Nick reminiscing about their long happy life together.

Patsy was known for her love of family, and she was happiest surrounded by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She especially loved cooking and baking with her grandchildren. There are many wonderful memories of her teaching the grandchildren how to make biscuits and strawberry cake.

Patsy was also known for her love of music. She encouraged everyone around to sing or play an instrument. Patsy began singing with her sisters at a young age. Patsy was a member of the Lamplighters and traveled around to sing in nursing homes and churches. Patsy loved singing and playing her guitar with her sisters in church and at the Pickin’ Palace. Patsy lived a full life, and her melodious voice will surely be missed.
