WILMINGTON — Robert L. Trombley (Bob), of Wilmington, NC passed away on Monday, February 24, 2025. He was born in Ellenburg, NY on December 1, 1947, son of Ellsworth and Della (LaClair) Trombley.
As a teenager, Bob assisted his mother in operating Trombley Greenhouse in Malone, NY. Later, Bob joined the National Guard and then worked as a cable technician for New Channels of Malone, NY (i.e. Time Warner Cable).
Bob leaves his wife, of 28 years, Deborah (Belden) Trombley, his two sons; Jeffrey Trombley (Tori) of Park City, UT and Troy Trombley of Leland, NC, 3 grandchildren; Ella and Luke Trombley of Park City, UT, and Tyler Trombley of Leland, NC, Step- children; Leanne Bair and Paul Vincent and step-grandchildren; Gabriella and Cordelia Bair.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Della and Ellsworth Trombley of Ellenburg Center, NY, his son; Chad Trombley of Malone, NY, his brothers; Lenny Trombley of Mooers, NY, Reverend Joseph Trombley, his sister; Joan Roberts of Malone, NY, his step brother; Lester Trombley of Malone, NY, and his step sisters; Dorris Mooney of Plattsburgh, NY and Francis Tourville of Ellenburg Center, NY
A memorial Mass will be held in Bob’s honor at 9:00 AM on Thursday, March 13, 2025, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Carolina Beach Rd.
