WILMINGTON — James “Jim” A. Psichos, 91, passed away on February 12, 2025, in Wilmington, NC.
Born in East Orange, NJ, he grew up in West Orange, NJ. In 1994, he and his wife, Mary Ellen, moved from Little Silver, NJ, to NC, later settling in Carolina Shores, NC, where they embraced a new chapter of their lives.
Those who knew Jim knew he loved life. James had a deep passion for golf, not only playing the game but also crafting clubs. He also adored other activities, including tennis, watching the NY Giants, country music, and telling stories surrounded by family and friends. Everyone who met him was a friend for life. His memory will live on in the stories shared by those who knew and loved him.
James was predeceased by his wife Mary Ellen; parents Adam and Metaxia. He is survived by his children Jim & wife Eileen, and daughter Kiera; Brett & wife Rene and children Alex & Amara; Jennifer, Michael, and Kate; Sister Betty, Brother, George & wife Rose Psichos, as well as nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank LifeCare Hospice Care in Wilmington for their kindness and care. A celebration of his life will be held in New Jersey at a later date.
