CAROLINA BEACH — Susan Marie Foy, 76, of Carolina Beach, NC, died on February 11, 2025, at Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
She was born in New York, NY, on July 29, 1948, the daughter of the late Harry John Foy and Anne Kyle Liddle Foy. Also remembered is her sister, Betty Rucker and beloved partner, Debra Whitley.
Surviving are other beloved friends, Wanda Whitley, Carol Pieretti, Jeanne Giragosian, and Thea Tremsky; cousin, Dorothy Dorman, Dorothy Daly, Joan Potestio, Diane Olsen, Debbie DiDomenico, all who will miss her dearly.
Susan was a patient advocate at NHRMC for four years. She was also a member and usher at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. She was the co-owner of Franks Pizza at Carolina Beach. She also worked the North End (Freeman Park) entrance. She volunteered over 1000 hours at the Fort Fisher Aquarium and also worked at the Island Cottage and Vintage Values.
A funeral mass will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church at 9:00 am Thursday, February 20, 2025.
