WILMINGTON — Robert Lee Ward, 87, passed away on February 4, 2025 at Lower Cape Fear LifeCare in Wilmington.
Robert was born on September 25, 1937 in Lumberton, NC to the late Linnius O’Neal and Ruby Reeves O’Neal.
Robert worked as a machine operator. After retiring, he moved to Carolina Beach for a time and loved to soak up the sun on his swing chair on the porch. He also loved to go to the boardwalk and spent many enjoyable hours chatting or simply people-watching.
Robert is survived by his niece, Mary Todd; sister, Hazel Smith; brothers, Grady Ward and O’Neal Ward.
