Deanna was born on December 27, 1937 in the Bronx, NY where she spent her formative years, completed her education, and was married. She later moved to Pearl River, NY where she started a family and raised her children. Working as a Dental Assistant for a periodontist in New City, NY Deanna was known for her hard work and dedication and was loved by her patients for her warm and calming presence. After retiring in 2006 Deanna moved to Woodbridge, NJ, and spent time traveling between NJ and PA to spend time with her family.
Deanna lived a very physically active life. In her younger days she was an avid dancer with many stories of dancing until the wee hours of the morning. She was a dedicated runner, who would run 5 miles a day rain or shine, through the hilly streets of Rockland County, and achieved a brown belt in karate in her late forties. In her later years, she loved her Zumba classes, dance fitness and ballroom dancing at the local senior center. Until recently, she was still doing Zumba and working out with weights at home.
Those who knew her know it was difficult for Deanna to sit still unless she was doing word searches, watching a movie (action or a classic), or watching a game show like Wheel of Fortune or Jeopardy.
Deanna spent the last two years living near family in Southport, NC but will be laid to rest in Rockland County, NY where a funeral mass is being planned.
