WILMINGTON — Nargis Irene Trowbridge, age 88, of Waxhaw, NC, passed away on Saturday, December 21, 2024, at The Davis Community in Wilmington, NC.
Nargis was born in Alexandria, Egypt, to parents Earl Thompson and Annie Hill Thompson.
She was preceded in death by her husband Edwin, her parents Earl and Annie, brothers George and Glenn Thompson, and sister Elizabeth Phillips.
Nargis is survived by her son Mike and his wife Connie, daughter Tammy Holliday and her husband Brad, son Dan and his wife Naomi; grandchildren Jesse, Sunni, Jessica, Brittony, Alyssa, Sarah, Nickie, Rebecca, Chris, Brooke, and Cameron; great-grandchildren Spencer, Paxton, Banks, and Lainey; sister Margaret Stephens and brother Ross Thompson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Nargis, along with her late husband, served as missionaries supporting the mission community in Waxhaw, NC, for much of her adult life.
The family takes great comfort in knowing that she is with Jesus Christ, fully healed and worshipping Him.
