HAMPSTEAD — Peter M. Plumb passed into the presence of his savior Jesus Christ on December 8, 2024, after a lengthy illness. He was 77 years old.
Born in Glen Cove, NY, he was raised in Sy by his parents Charles D. Plumb and Mary Theresa Plumb, both deceased.
He is survived by his wife Carol S. Plumb of Hampstead, NC, his brother J. Michael Plumb of Southern Pines, NC and sister, Wendy Thomas of Media, PA. He had 4 nephews and 1 niece. Mr. Plumb was a graduate of The Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, MA. He attended Newton and Wellesley School of Nursing in Newton, MA and worked in long term care and homecare nursing for 30 years.
Peter enjoyed the gift that he had for art and used it to bless many with portraits and landscape paintings.
The Plumbs are members for Scotts Hill Baptist Church and would like to express their gratitude for the loving support they received from their church family throughout Peter’s illness. A Memorial Service will be held on December 21, 2024, at Scotts Hill Baptist Church from 11:00 am -12:00 pm with a brief visiting opportunity from 10:30-11:00 am.
