LELAND — Sarah Lou Malpass was welcomed into heaven on Friday the 4th of October 2024 by her mother, father, sister and loving husband, Ted and also her sweet mother in law, Virginia Malpass.
She leaves behind her 2 brothers Alton Nines ( wife Linda Nines, daughter Heidi Harrell and her family) and Harold Nines (son Dennis Nines), her sisters-in-law Rachel Wilkins of Delco, Patricia Squires (Thaddeus) of Kelly and Phoebe Lewis of Delco, as well as many great, and great great nieces and nephews. Sarah was born to Fannie and Willis Nines on February 25, 1948 in Rocky Mount NC.
She moved to Wilmington with her family when she was young where she then met her husband, Ted. They then settled in Leland where they built their forever home. She loved sharing her home with family and friends anytime she could. She wanted to fill the home with as many good memories as possible to bring hope, love and comfort to all who visited.
She had the biggest heart and loved her family and only wanted the best for them. She was one of best Avon lady’s around. If you needed it, you knew she was the one to go to!
She was a devoted Christian and attended church regularly as well as holding Bible studies at her house. She put God first in all things.
She will be dearly missed by her family and friends who not only mourn her passing, but rejoice that she is now with her beloved Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in glory.
Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.
