KURE BEACH — Lifelong Pleasure Island local, Jimmy Lentz, sadly passed away on his 70th birthday.
He is preceded in death by his father, Jason Henry Lentz and mother, Anna Jane Borden.
He is survived by his daughter, Summer Lentz (Sam); four grandchildren: Winter, Samual, Kingston, and Tucker Weston; two brothers, Don Lentz and Ken Lentz (Ann Marie); niece Melissa Darrow (John) and many other nieces and nephews as well as many friends he considered family.
Jimmy was a Master Carpenter who was very meticulous in his work. His other passion was surfing. He felt a deep connection with the ocean and the waves.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Kure Memorial Lutheran Church, 117 N 3rd Street, Kure Beach, NC. A paddle out will follow after the service.
