LELAND — Richard Louis Byrd, age 84, of Leland, passed away Wednesday, August 21, 2024.
A celebration of Mr. Byrd’s life will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at Davis Funeral Home, 901 S 5th Ave., Wilmington, NC 28401.
Interment will follow at Marsh Branch Cemetery.
His love and memories will remain in the heart of his wife, Willa Wright Byrd of the home; children, Leroy Abbott of Las Vegas, NV, Cherise Ray of Eagle Mountain, UT (Michael), Aisha Price of Pittsburgh, PA (Kenny), Rasheedah King of Pittsburgh, PA (Phillip, Dukhah Byrd of Las Vegas, NV (Julie) and Malachi Byrd of Riad, Saudia Arabia (Khabira), 18 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
