WILMINGTON — Kurt Robert Moss, age 56 passed away peacefully at his residence in Wilmington, North Carolina on Sunday, August 11, 2024. Kurt was born on January 29, 1968 in Jacksonville, Florida to the late Peggy Carr Yoder Blackmon.
In addition to his mother, he is predeceased by his father, Timothy Clyde Blackmon of Whiteville, and a sister, Susan Carr Moss Deans.
Left to cherish his memories are his brother, Kenneth Ray Moss (Angela) of Whiteville, NC, his sister, Lynne Blackmon Inman (Brien) of North Myrtle Beach, SC, a special brother-in-law, John Deans of Whiteville, NC, nieces and nephews, Drake Deans (Haley), Jonathan Cox (Ashleigh), Timothy Deans, Ethan Inman, Ashlyn Cox, Davis Inman, Aundria Moss, Meredith Moss and many loving family members and countless friends.
Kurt was a passionate music lover whose greatest pleasure came from playing the guitar, a hobby that defined much of his life.
Visitation will be held at Grace Episcopal Church, 105 South Madison Street, Whiteville, NC for family and friends on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. with the memorial service following at 11:30 a.m. with Pastor Andy Anderson officiating.
