WILMINGTON — Mamie Louise Hollemon Justice, 82, of Wilmington, NC, died Thursday, August 1, 2024 at Davis Nursing Home surrounded by her family.
Mamie loved spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren. She also loved her church family and was a long-time member of Peace Baptist Church where she enjoyed singing in the church choir. When she wasn’t busy with church and family, she enjoyed gardening.
She worked as a bank teller and then customer service representative for many years at Wachovia/Wells Fargo Bank before retiring in 2000.
She was born November 20, 1941, in Wilmington, NC, to the late Willie Earl Hollemon Sr. and Ruby Evelyn Lehrschall Hollemon.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Albert Justice Sr., and a granddaughter, Samantha Faye Justice.
Survivors include daughter, Karen Justice Pepper (Christopher); son, Raymond Albert Justice, Jr. (Angela); grandchildren, Daniel Ray Pepper (Elizabeth), Michelle Pepper Batts (Brent), Sara Justice Shipman, and Allison Rae Justice; great-grandchildren, Huston Lee Pepper, Grayson Christopher Pepper, Brayden Ray Justice-Mintz, Brantley Keith Shipman, Easton John Shipman, and Samuel Lee Shipman; her sister Ruth Hollemon Schreffler (Nelson), and brothers, Earl Hollemon Jr. (Pam) and Neal Hollemon.
Burial will follow at Riley’s Creek Memorial Cemetery in Rocky Point.
