OAK ISLAND — Louis Edgar “Eddie” Rice, age 83, of Oak Island, North Carolina passed away on Thursday, July 25, 2024.
Mr. Rice was born December 6, 1940, son of the late Alfred and Virginia Rice. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp. Eddie was an avid golfer, a former member of the Oak Island Golf Club, country dancing, and being the life of the party.
Survivors include his four children, Steven Rice and wife Eugenia, Allen Rice and wife Alicia, Diana Setaro and husband Frank, and Kim Story; nine grandchildren, Melissa Rice, Megan Shrewsbury, Alexa Rice, Amanda Story, Brianna Crane, Alec Story, Timothy Rice, Daniel Rice, and Madison Setaro; and two great-grandchildren, Michael Shrewsbury and Hailey Shrewsbury.
In accordance with his wishes, his ashes will be placed into the Pacific Ocean at Venice Beach, California.
