Anne William Royalty, 70

SOUTHPORT — Anne William Royalty of Southport, North Carolina, was called to her heavenly home in the early morning hours of July 16, 2024 at the age of 70. She was surrounded by her loving family as she made her heavenly descent.

She was born October 1, 1953 to the late George W. and Nancy Royse Royalty of Harrodsburg, Kentucky.

Anne lived in Caswell Beach prior to returning to Burgin, Kentucky with her mother and sister, Judy. She returned to Southport in 2017 where Anne could be closer to her family. She was a devoted mother, “Granna,” sister, and aunt. She had a heart as big as the universe.

She was an avid basketball fan, especially of her beloved Kentucky Wildcats! She loved watching the players in the NBA, of which her favorite teams were the Golden State Warriors and the Denver Nuggets. She was an amazing cook and showed her love best by cooking a meal. You never left her house hungry, especially if she had made her famous “angel biscuits.” She loved watching her grandchildren play sports and even when she wasn’t in attendance her presence was always felt. Anne loved walks on the beach to hunt for seashells, music (especially Justin Timberlake and Barbra Streisand), and hanging out with her family.

She loved her family immensely and is survived by her two children Jeremy (Alicia) Baker of Southport, NC, Mollie Baker (Anthony) of Oak Island, NC, sister Ginger (Rusty) Williams of Southport, NC, grandchildren Brantley Baker, Carissa Baker, and Caroline Beasley, nephews Chris Royalty and Myles Williams. She is preceded in death by her sister, Judith Royse Royalty, formerly of Burgin, Kentucky and her brother, George Royalty, Jr., of Danville, Kentucky.

The family will have a celebration of life gathering at sunset at the Caswell Beach Beach Access on Saturday, July 27 starting at 7 p.m. More details to follow.
