WILMINGTON — Arthur Glenn Malpass, born on April 19, 1961, in Wilmington, North Carolina, passed away on July 15, 2024, at his home in Wrightsboro at the age of 63.
Arthur dedicated a significant portion of his life to public service, working for New Hanover County Inspections Office. He served as the Chief Code Enforcement Inspector for Plumbing and Mechanical, committing 28 years to ensuring the safety and compliance of his community before retiring.
A proud graduate of Laney High School, Arthur found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved spending quality time with his family and could often be found driving his tractor on the family farm, meticulously keeping everything trimmed and clean. His dedication to both his professional and personal life was evident to all who knew him.
Arthur was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Dudley Malpass, Sr., and Raquel Lozano Malpass; and his sister in-law Brenda Kay Malpass.
He leaves behind a loving family to cherish his memory: his children Kevin Malpass and wife Amanda, Karlee Malpass, Kaila Malpass, and Katie Malpass; grandchildren Greyson, Noah, Koryn, Ava, Ellie Mae (Ellis), Hunter, Ayden, Ellie and Adalynn. He is also survived by his brothers, Thomas Dudley Malpass, Jr. and wife Carolyn, William Grady Malpass, Gerry Craig Malpass and wife Kay, and Randall Dean Malpass; along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
Arthur Glenn Malpass will be remembered for his unwavering dedication, love for his family, and the care he took in every aspect of his life. His legacy of hard work, kindness, and devotion will continue to inspire those who had the honor of knowing him.
Visitation will be held 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 19, 2024 at Wilmington Funeral Chapel.
Memorial services are planned for 11 a.m. Saturday July 20, 2024 led by Rev. Danny Justice at Oak Valley Church 2730 NorthChase Parkway, Wilmington, NC
