WILMINGTON — Hortense McRae Henderson, age 85, of Clinton, MD (formerly of Wilmington), passed away on Sunday, June 30, 2024.
A celebration of Ms. Henderson’s life will be conducted at 12:00 PM on Friday, July 12, 2024 at Davis Funeral Home, 901 S 5th Ave., Wilmington, NC 28401. A viewing will be held one (1) hour prior to the service.
Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
Her love and memories will remain in the hearts of her children, Darnella Fuller of Dallas, TX, Frederick Cherry of Syracuse, NY, Marie Chestnut of Rochester, NY, Vickki Simmons (Chris) of Clinton, MD and Shawn Parker (Anthony) of Morrisville, NC; siblings, Kitty Hall of Wilmington, NC, Herbert McRae (Erma) of Wilmington, NC, Michael McRae of Wilmington, NC, Ellen Green of Charlotte, NC, Debora McRae of Leland, NC and Anthony McRae (Theresa) of Fredericksburg, VA, 19 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
