WILMINGTON — Frank “Buddy” John Savage, 91, of Hampstead, passed away on Friday, June 21, 2024, at Lower Cape Fear LifeCare in Wilmington, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on March 8, 1933, in the Bronx, NY, to the late Frank Duliby and Emily Savage.
Buddy was a hard-working family man who loved deep sea fishing at Montauk Point, the NY Giants, old movies, and was quick with a joke. He was the supply manager at Tavern on the Green in Manhattan for many years. Loyal and dedicated to his family, Buddy was a bright light and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Buddy is survived by his daughter, Linda Hansen and husband, Ben; brother, Robert Savage; granddaughter, Alexandra Futrell and husband, Addison; great grandchildren, Grayson, Lennon, Kennedy; and long-time caregiver and dear friend, Pat Beck.
In addition to his parents, Buddy was also preceded in death by his wife, June (Schander) Savage; and his brother, John Savage.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Buddy’s honor to Lower Cape Fear LifeCare.
