WILMINGTON — Betty Lou Hicks, 93, of Wilmington, NC, died Monday, June 17, 2024, at Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
She was born on September 2, 1930, in Huntington, WV, the daughter of the late Robert Lee Fox and Ruby Agnes Faulkner Fox. Also remembered is her first husband, Oscar Fowler; second husband, Harold Hicks; daughter, Sandra Sue Fowler; grandson, Timothy Shidal; and a brother, Don Fox, all of who preceded her in death.
Surviving is her daughter, Cathy Shidal and husband Carol; a brother, William Fox; grandson, Charles Shidal; granddaughter, Rebecca Lou Fowler; and great-granddaughter, Kaleigh Shidal.
Betty enjoyed all types of crafts, especially needlework and jewelry making.
