WILMINGTON — Peggy Rose Mobley, born on March 17, 1951, in Robeson County, NC, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2024, in Wilmington, NC, at the age of 73.
Peggy dedicated her professional life to the field of Healthcare, serving as a Certified Medical Assistant. She served and cared for many patients at Hanover Medical Specialist and later at Wilmington Health Associates until her retirement.
In her personal life, Peggy found joy in music, especially holiday music, and cherished her moments spent by the beach and on the water. She was a member of Whispering Pines Baptist Church, where she shared in fellowship and community.
Peggy was preceded in death by her beloved father and mother, James Sellers and Kathleen Hayes Sellers, and her devoted husband, Harry Randel Mobley, who passed away on July 4, 2015. They were married for 46 years.
She leaves behind her loving family: her son John Mobley and his wife Heather; her daughter Heather Foster and her husband Darren; seven cherished grandchildren, one great-grandson, and another grandchild expected soon. Peggy is also survived by her sister, Jane Morgan, along with numerous friends who will remember her fondly.
A memorial gathering to honor Peggy’s life will be held from 4-5 PM on Friday, June 14, 2024, at Wilmington Funeral Chapel.
Peggy Rose Mobley will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her legacy of compassion and warmth will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
