
WILMINGTON — A replica of the ship steered on the Magellan-Elcano expedition will return to downtown Wilmington, North Carolina, June 19 – 23.
The Nao Trinidad mimics the Spanish-built 16th century ship, helmed by Portuguese explorer Ferdinand Magellan. He led the Spanish expedition to the East Indies, achieving the first circumnavigation of Earth in history.
The ship replica will dock at London Wharf on the Riverfront and will be open for public tours, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Tickets are $5 for children (kids 4 and under free), $15 for adults or $35 a family, available here.
