LELAND — Robert Wayne Wiggs a long-time resident of Leland passed away peacefully on May 23, 2024, at the age of 73.
Wayne was born in Wilmington on September 18, 1950. Wayne was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother, who touched the lives of many with his kindness and dedication to his family and community.
Graduating from Leland High School, Wayne went on to become a Licensed Electrician, dedicating many years of professional service to Laney Electric before retiring. His work ethic and skill were admired by all who knew him professionally.
Beyond his professional life, Wayne had a deep love for camping, especially at White Lake, where he created countless cherished memories with his family. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Leland Ward, where he found solace and community.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Donald C. Wiggs, Sr., and Esther Pearl Parker Wiggs, and his sister, Darlene Wiggs Wells.
Wayne’s legacy lives on through his loving wife of 53 years, Raye Blake Wiggs; his children, Robert and April Wiggs, Karen and Chad Johnson, Amy and Bobby Conners, Kayla and Adam Jakubs, Blake and Michelle Wiggs, and Walter and Kachina Wiggs; his grandchildren, Ryan (Ryan Boy), Allen, Bryson, Taylor, Keirsten, Ayden, Wyatt (Wild Man), Luca (Tank), Parker (Stump), Braeden, Gavin, Kylin(Baby), Christian, Kendalyn, Aubryn, Kayden (Squirms), Austin, Ethan, Gavin, Chase and twins, Asher and Liam; and his great-grandchildren, Drake, Madelyn, Kayce, Paris, Paisley, and Zoerei. One brother, Donald C. (Donnie) Wiggs, Jr.; two sisters, Marie Wiggs Male and Kay Wiggs Malpass.
We pray that Robert Wayne Wiggs, rest in peace and his memory be eternal.
