HAMPSTEAD — Wileina Fisher Furrow, age 82 of Hampstead, NC passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2024.
She was born on January 1, 1942 in Callaway, Virginia to the late Grover W. “Bill” Fisher and Hazel Barnhart Fisher. She was preceded in death by husband, Larry Furrow; and brother, Grover “G.W.” Fisher, Jr.
Ms. Furrow was a graduate of Franklin County High School and William and Mary. She was employed as a mathematics teacher until her retirement from Franklin County schools. She was an active member of Highland United Methodist Church in Callaway, and enjoyed gardening, music and spending time with family and friends.
Ms. Furrow is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Bush (husband Jacob) of Hampstead, NC; and grandchildren, Maddux and Nola Bush. She is also survived by her siblings, Gloria Kotseos, Jim and Linda Fisher, Carol Ann and Gary Amos; sister-in-law, Dorothy Fisher; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be held at Flora Funeral Service in Rocky Mount, VA on Thursday, May 16, 2024 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 17, 2024 at Highland United Methodist Church in Callaway with Pastor Laurice Jones-Wilks officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park.
