WILMINGTON — Tommy Lee Turner, formerly of Carolina Beach, passed away at his home in Jacksonville, NC on Wednesday March 27, 2024.
Tommy had a knack for construction work and proudly served his country in the United States Army.
His interests extended beyond work, as he loved nothing more than spending his days fishing and spreading joy by making those around him laugh.
Tommy is preceded in death by his father Tommy Ray Turner, paternal grandparents Doris Madkins and Posey Turner, and maternal grandparents James and Margaret Craddock.
He is survived by his mother Myra Jean Turner; daughter Krista Lee Turner; twin brother Ronald Ray Turner and wife Michelle; brother Robert Allen Turner and husband Tom Curley; grandchildren Cameron Blodgett and Raelyn Turner; and his special aunt Sue Williams.
A memorial service will be held to celebrate Tommy’s life at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 6, 2023, at Wilmington Funeral Chapel.
Tommy will be remembered for his hard work, humor, and his love for fishing that brought light into the lives of those around him. May he rest in peace.
