LELAND — Dennis of Leland NC was 59 years old when he unexpectedly passed away at his residence on December 31, 2023. He was born on August 12, 1964 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Russell Comer and Lora Comer.
Dennis was survived by his sister, Barbara English, and his brothers Johnny Bradley, Edward Comer, his children Devlin Comer, Dennis Blake Comer, Barbara Greaves, and Stephen Comer. His grandchildren, Kaycee Greaves, Dalton Greaves, Liam Greaves, and Elias Greaves.
He was preceded in death by his brother Billy Bradley, and James Russell Comer.
I would like to mention that was also preceded in death by his twin brother who passed during the birth. I like to think that Dennis has the heart and personality of two because of this.
Miley the family dog has to be mentioned otherwise he would be disappointed if not. Miley was constantly by his side. He had a strong love and bond with Miley.
Dennis remained friends and lived with for several years the mother of his children and his ex-wife Patricia Self (mamacita). He once told his mother that he would never marry another, and he made that true until the very end. They had a very strong bond and friendship even though they were divorced. Dennis had a very loving bond with Eldon Self. Eldon is Patricia’s youngest child. Eldon may not be biologically Dennis’s child but he sure would treat him with the same love of his own.
Dennis was a very lengthy and loyal member of the Pizza Hut family. He stayed a loyal employee for 41 years. He was an incredibly hard worker and fantastic pizza maker. He hated the slightest thought of missing work.
Dennis had a deep love for Books, Music, Film and Wrestling. Dennis was a huge fan of the late great King of Rock and Roll Elvis Presley. Dennis has one of the biggest hearts. He was a kind, loving, and funny human being. Dennis could have been known as the class clown. He was always trying to make you laugh no matter the time, place or situation. Even if he was telling you the same joke that you heard before he still made it funny. I believe his best quality was that he was an amazing father. He would have done anything for his children and grandchildren.
