WILMINGTON — Carolyn Sikes Marshburn, 80, born in Wilmington, NC August, 19, 1943, died peacefully on December 30, 2023.
She was predeceased by her parents, Leon H. Sikes and Lucille Teachey Sikes.
Surviving are her husband of 55 years, Paul T “Tom” Marshburn, Jr., Son Bradford L. Marshburn (Laura), Daughter Anna Marshburn Oppelt (Tom), brother Leon H. “Sonny” Sikes, Jr. (Gail), sister-in-law Beth Marshburn Bell (Greg) and her grandchildren, Garrett T. Marshburn, Benjamin D. Marshburn, Mason T. Oppelt, and Cameron S. Oppelt.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff of Bradley Creek Health Center, and Lower Cape Fear Life Care for their compassionate care.
The Memorial Service will be held Sunday, January 7, 2024 at 2 p.m. at Andrews Mortuary Chapel 1617 Market Street, Wilmington, NC 28401. The family will receive friends and family at Andrews one hour before the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, 411 Market St. Wilmington, NC 28401, or Lower Cape Fear Life Care, 1414 Physicians Dr. Wilmington, NC 28403.
