WILMINGTON — Ruth Ullmann Terry, a beloved mother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on December 3, 2023, in Wilmington, North Carolina. She was born on April 6, 1933, in Brooklyn, New York. Ruth lived a long and fulfilling life, leaving behind cherished memories for all who knew her.
With a warm and kind-hearted nature, Ruth touched the lives of many. She will be deeply missed by her surviving family members and friends, including her sister Lorraine O’Connor, brother-in-law Jack O’Connor, niece Joyce Solomon, and niece Janice Richardson. Ruth’s presence brought joy and comfort to those around her, and her memory will forever remain in their hearts.
Ruth was preceded in death by her son Dean Howard and daughter Diane Howard. While their absence is deeply felt, the love and bond they shared will continue to endure.
In honoring Ruth’s wishes, no services are planned at this time. However, her loved ones will gather privately to celebrate her life and share stories that reflect her remarkable spirit.
Ruth Ullmann Terry’s life was one of compassion, love, and kindness. Her legacy will continue to inspire and uplift those who were fortunate enough to have known her. May she rest in eternal peace.
